Merry Christmas everyone! I hope everyone is having a great holiday. Today I am sharing the recipe for our favorite black eyed peas. Black eyed peas are a MUST for good luck in the new year. These Black Eyed Peas with Sausage and Jalapeños are the BEST of the BEST. You will definitely have good luck in the New Year if you eat these delicious black eyed peas!!! You'll at least have a good meal in the new year. 😉
I used frozen black eyed peas in this Black Eyed Peas with Sausage and Jalapeños recipe. They held up great. For the sausage, I used a roll of Jimmy Dean sausage. I removed the membranes and seeds from the jalapeños, so these black eyed peas weren't very spicy. Feel free to use hot sausage for even more of a kick!
As I said, these Black Eyed Peas with Sausage and Jalapeños are seriously the BEST black eyed peas we've ever eaten. I could have made a meal out of these peas with some cornbread. These will go great with any leftover turkey or ham from your holiday meal!
