These Buffalo Chicken Burgers are a new favorite in our house. We recently discovered our love of grilled chicken burgers. We made some Crack Chicken Burgers a few weeks ago and LOVED them. I immediately started coming up with more flavor combinations to use with ground chicken. I thought the next logical flavor combination was Buffalo Chicken. OMG! SO good! We love buffalo chicken wings, so I knew this combination would be a hit.How To Make Buffalo Chicken Burgers
I think it took me three times to perfect these Buffalo Chicken Burgers. My first attempt was too wet. The second attempt was too flimsy. I finally got it right on the third try. I found that ground chicken needs binders to stay intact on the grill. Ground chicken is so lean and has a lot of moisture, it just falls apart without something to keep it together. I ended up using some bread crumbs, cheddar cheese, ranch seasoning, and buffalo wing seasoning. It worked perfectly! We brushed the cooked burgers with hot sauce to kick up the heat! You can definitely skip this step if you don't like spicy food.I used a burger press to form the ground chicken mixture into patties. You can form the patties and refrigerate overnight or even freeze them for a quick meal later.
How To Cook Buffalo Chicken Burgers
We cooked these Buffalo Chicken Burgers on the grill. Unlike ground beef burgers, you will need to cook these chicken burgers until they are done. The internal temperature needs to be 165ºF. Since this is ground meat, it is best to use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature. It took us about 5 or 6 minutes per side. It will just depend on how thick you make your chicken burger patties. If you don't have a grill, you can cook these Buffalo Chicken Burgers in a skillet. The burgers will take about 4 or 5 minutes per side.
