Easy Chicken Tetrazzini Recipe
Chicken Tetrazzini is a very popular chicken casserole. It seems like most families have their own version of this classic dish. This Cheesy Chicken Tetrazzini recipe comes from a Plain Chicken reader. I love Chicken Tetrazzini, so I am always up to try a new version, and this version is delicious! Chicken, spaghetti baked in a creamy cheese sauce. I could have eaten the whole pan myself! How to Make Chicken Tetrazzini Casserole
This Cheesy Chicken Tetrazzini Casserole is very easy to make. Start by cooking the spaghetti. While the spaghetti is cooking, start on the sauce. Melt some butter in a saucepan. Whisk in some flour and cook for a minute. Slowly whisk in some milk. Do this slowly so the sauce doesn't get lumpy. Let the sauce cook a couple of minutes until it starts to thicken. Remove the sauce from the heat and whisk in some cheese, a can of cream of chicken or mushroom soup, garlic powder, Worcestershire, salt, and pepper. Finally, toss together the cooked spaghetti, cooked chicken, and the sauce. Spread into a baking dish and top with more cheese. Pop the casserole in the oven and bake.
The original recipe included a bell pepper and a 4-oz jar of diced pimentos. I don't particularly love either, so I left them out. Feel free to add them to the casserole if you enjoy them. You could also add some frozen green peas or spinach. Both sound delicious!
