It is August, and I have Fall on my mind. The kids are going back to school, college football is starting and I am dreaming of soup and chili season! Today I'm sharing an AMAZING Chicken Jalapeño Popper Chili recipe with you. This stuff is crazy delicious!! Chicken, fresh jalapeños, bacon, cream cheese - YUM! It is also crazy easy to make. It only takes about 20 minutes!
The trick to getting this Chicken Jalapeño Popper Chili on the table in 20 minutes is to use a rotisserie chicken. This chili uses a whole rotisserie chicken. We LOVE to use rotisserie chickens for quick and easy soups and casseroles. It tastes delicious and is such a time saver.
Now, I know what some of you are thinking - "This Chicken Jalapeno Popper Chili looks delicious, but I can't eat it because I'll get heartburn." I can totally relate! I've had run-ins with bad heartburn and it is the worst! Fortunately, I have the solution! The new Well at Walgreens Omeprazole Orally Disintegrating Tablets treat the same heartburn symptoms as Prilosec OTC ®, but since it’s a store brand, it’s more affordable!
I LOVE that these pills just disintegrate in your mouth. Game changer! I hate swallowing pills, so Omeprazole ODT is perfect for me! You can take it with you anywhere, and you don’t need water to take it. It dissolves quickly on your tongue to provide heartburn relief for up to 24 hours. I really enjoyed the strawberry flavor, too. Don't worry, it’s not grainy or chalky.
If you’re suffering heartburn two or more days a week, I’d suggest looking into adding Omeprazole ODT to your routine. It’s a 14-day regimen, taking one dose every 24 hours, that can provide long-lasting relief. You should not take this medication for more than 14 days or more often than every four months unless directed by your doctor. Omeprazole ODT is not intended for immediate relief and may take 1-4 days to feel the full effect.
We topped this Chicken Jalapeño Popper Chili with some extra bacon, sliced jalapeños and some pepper jack cheese. SO good! Feel free to add some sour cream and corn chips too. If you aren't a fan of pepper jack cheese, try some cheddar. Either way, it will taste delicious.
We ate this for lunch with some quick cornbread sticks. We had the leftovers for dinner and it was equally delicious. You can even freeze the leftovers for later. This Chicken Jalapeno Popper Chili is perfect for a quick weeknight meal and tailgating!!! Just whip up the chili and throw it in the slow cooker to keep warm. SO easy and perfect for a crowd!
