Easy Frozen Peanut Butter Pie
This Peanut Butter Pie is dangerously delicious! I had to toss it out so I didn't eat the whole pie myself. I couldn't pass by the fridge and not grab a bite of pie. I love anything peanut butter - including this pie!I got this recipe from one of my favorite cafes. They had the recipe framed on the wall of the restaurant. I did what any good food blogger would do and took a picture of it! LOL! I did make a couple of minor changes to the recipe. I cut the recipe in half to make one pie. I also had to increase the butter in the crust to keep it together.
This pie is SO good!! So light and fluffy. This is going to be a staple at all our summer get-togethers. I topped the finished pie with some caramel sauce, chocolate sauce, cool whip, and extra chopped peanuts. YUM!
How to Make Peanut Butter Pie
This Frozen Peanut Butter Pie is very easy to make. It starts with a homemade crust made from dry roasted peanuts, graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter. Once the crust has baked, add some chocolate chips to the bottom and let them melt. You can totally skip adding the layer of chocolate if you wish. I sometimes skip making the crust and use premade graham cracker crusts. This Peanut Butter Pie is also great with an oreo crust. The filling for this Peanut Butter Pie starts with making fresh whipped cream. Next mix together some cream cheese, peanut butter, milk, and powdered sugar. Carefully mix the whipped cream and peanut butter mixture together and pour into the prepared crust.
Finally, you are going to freeze the pie until it is set. I usually make this Peanut Butter Pie the day before serving. I take the pie out of the freezer about 30 minutes before serving so it will be soft enough to cut.
Does Peanut Butter Pie Need to Be Refrigerated?
Yes! You need to store any leftover peanut butter pie covered in the refrigerator. It will last 4 or 5 days in the fridge. I am guessing at the time because my pies never last that long. We eat them too fast!
Peanut Butter Pie is Great for a Crowd
I take this pie to cookouts and never return with any leftovers. The recipe is easy to double and transport to parties. You can make this pie in advance and keep in the freezer for up to a month before serving. You can't beat easy make-ahead recipes! Make this for your next get-together. I promise everyone will LOVE it! quick, easy, simple, cool whip, oreo crust, Ashley Mac's, frozen, jif, skippy
