I know Halloween is tomorrow, but I am already thinking about Thanksgiving recipes. This Slow Cooker Green Bean Casserole is definitely going to be on our menu. OMG! SO good! The best part about this recipe is that there is NO cream of anything soup! What?!?!? I know! Crazy!
The creaminess in this Slow Cooker Green Casserole comes from alfredo sauce. It makes the green beans so creamy and soooooo delicious! There is also a can of water chestnuts in the mixture. It gives the casserole a nice crunch. If you aren't a fan of mushrooms, you can leave them out. The casserole will taste just as good without them.
This Slow Cooker Green Bean Casserole cooks for about 4 hours. You can mix up the green bean mixture the night before and just dump it in the slow cooker on Thanksgiving or Christmas day. SO easy! I love that I can fix this side dish and forget it. It will be ready when the turkey is ready to eat. You can even serve the green bean casserole right out of the slow cooker. Easy to make and easy cleanup!
